Turn around projects for LA Services represent unplanned activities where significant work is required to rectify equipment as a result of an incident or unexpected failure requiring a piece of equipment to be shipped to our workshop for major works.

Major rectification or modification while often urgent can be a prolonged process that frequently requires close collaboration between the asset owner and LA Services to engineer out a solution, a process we embrace enabling a collective solution to sometimes unique problems in compressed time frames.

Our larger workshop, heavy lift capacity, agile and cross skilled team coupled with a deep supply chain makes for a unique turnaround and equipment modification resource located close to the Sydney CBD enabling easy client access to support the required client-manufacturer engagement when problem solving.

Packinox Bundle Replacement Project

The refurbishment of Caltex’s Packinox heat exchanger required a bundle replacement to solve efficiency problems.

To do this the 80mm thick head needed to be cut off then re-welded into position.

With asset down time being costly an accelerated welding method was required to be able to complete the refurbishment within a planned refinery shutdown window.
