Our heavy structural focus is in large beams and cylindrical work requiring significant workshop space, heavy rolling, lifting and material handling capacity coupled with full penetration submerged arc welding and large fillet welds.
Works have included structural jigs, cable drums and hubs upto 4m in diameter and beams of 35m in length.
Services include weld procedure development, welder qualification while our NDE and inspection model draws on independent NATA certified contractors that eliminates any in-house conflict of interest across testing and compliance requirements.
We have the facility and team to undertake heavy structure works where welding compliance, dimensional accuracy and handling are key factors
We can support the fabrication, welding, inspection and dispatch needs of projects requiring throughput of large bulky items requiring heavy high speed welding

Packinox Bundle Replacement Project
The refurbishment of Caltex’s Packinox heat exchanger required a bundle replacement to solve efficiency problems.
To do this the 80mm thick head needed to be cut off then re-welded into position.
With asset down time being costly an accelerated welding method was required to be able to complete the refurbishment within a planned refinery shutdown window.
