PWHT
Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) is a common requirement for pressure equipment manufacture, to service this we have in-house PWHT and extensive experience in this process.
The furnace is calibrated, fitted with a chart recorder and four temperature probes, charts are provided on completion. Heat treatments can be provided upto 750ºC for extended soak times for fabrication upto 20 tonnes and with-in a 4sqm x 7m long dimensional envelope.
The furnace is located within our workshop, so it is supported with overhead crane capacity for easy unload and re-loading onto transport. Our workshop personnel are experienced in heat treatment and can provide the necessary support to ensure your fabrications will be proceeded quickly and effectively
We also have a wide network of heat treatment providers if you have a specialised need or a small project that does not require the services of our larger furnace.

Packinox Bundle Replacement Project
The refurbishment of Caltex’s Packinox heat exchanger required a bundle replacement to solve efficiency problems.
To do this the 80mm thick head needed to be cut off then re-welded into position.
With asset down time being costly an accelerated welding method was required to be able to complete the refurbishment within a planned refinery shutdown window.
