Material Procurement
Our manufacturing base drives the need for quality raw materials, this ongoing demand has matured our supply chain over the years. We have developed strong connections across Europe, the US and South Korea to deliver heavy flanges and forgings, tubes, plate and specialised items.
Our procurement team can source a diverse range of materials from common carbon steel plate in thickness and dimensions larger than available in Australia, through to high temperature stainless steel such as 304H and aluminum bronze casting for heat exchanger channels
The supply chain is supported by a global reaching freight forwarding partnership that can coordinate door to door transfers, clearances and insurances. This capability is also used to support the export or FOB movements of finished products around the country
We encourage you to talk to us about sourcing contingency materials such as tubes for upcoming shutdowns or specialised materials needed for upcoming equipment modifications and repairs.

Packinox Bundle Replacement Project
The refurbishment of Caltex’s Packinox heat exchanger required a bundle replacement to solve efficiency problems.
To do this the 80mm thick head needed to be cut off then re-welded into position.
With asset down time being costly an accelerated welding method was required to be able to complete the refurbishment within a planned refinery shutdown window.
